Each setup is the highest-DPS gear that budget buys against The Leviathan, searched with the same combat
engine and rules as the best-in-slot page, at 99 stats with the best boosts and every prayer unlocked
(Zeal, Rigour, Augury: no Horn of Bran or prayer scroll counted). Prices are live Grand
Exchange prices. Gear most players earn in play (a Fire cape, Void, Barrows gloves) counts as free;
endgame unlocks (an Infernal cape, Dizana's quiver, the Colossal blade, a max cape, the Ring of shadows,
elite diary rewards) are left out unless Endgame unlocks is on, and Only GE items leaves out all earned
gear. "Don't have" on an earned piece searches again without it. Gear made from parts is priced by its
parts: the Bow of Faerdhinen as its seed, crystal armour as its seeds. Ammo, runes and charges are listed
but not counted. Gear and special attack plan are bought together: of the setups a budget buys, each with
the best plan its money left buys, it takes the one with the most kills an hour, never a kill slower than
the highest-DPS setup's with its plan. A plan is one bar a kill,
openers first and damage specs with the rest, with Lightbearer where it makes kills faster (its price
counted), and the kills an hour are at its kill time. What is left after it buys the sturdiest pieces it can for
any slot the setup leaves empty (tagged Tank): more defence against this boss's attacks, the same DPS,
checked with the combat engine. The top setup is the best-in-slot page's; where it needs gear the
toggles leave out, it is listed with what it needs. Each setup's inventory is the OSRS Wiki's for the
fight with that setup's own spec weapons, potions and rune pouch. Nothing in the inventory but the spec
weapons and a Lightbearer counts against the budget; its trip cost is one inventory's potions, food and
teleports at live prices, shown apart.
Kills an hour come from the combat engine's kill time, the boss's respawn and phases, and a bank trip each time the food or prayer a kill uses runs out; profit is the drop table's average loot at live GE prices after the GE tax, less that food and prayer, potions, ammo and runes. From The Leviathan, The Leviathan/Strategies and Money making guide/Killing The Leviathan; a setup whose trip can't last one kill has no estimate.
